Tips to Buy a Better Flash Drive or Pendrive

Flash drive or Pendrive is one of the most essential small hardware or stuff of the present technology day. Pendrive is used for exchanging various data, songs, videos. Many people keep their important data on pendrive, not on the computer. So it is desirable that this small but important device need to be of good quality.

But what we do when to buy computer, we never do it for a pen drive. Usually we buy it without any thinking. Most of the time, when buying a pen drive, users go to the market and buy it because of its capacity, color, size, exterior beauty and so on. That's not fair at all. The issues that need to be considered before buying a pen drive are very important.

It's best not to buy cheap Flash Drive:
There are many Flash drives available in the market which is relatively low price even after having the same specification as other expensive pendrive. But why? Because Pendrive is of the same quality specification, their components are different. You can buy a pendrive of huge storage for a low price, but in the long run, this device will not provide you good support.

All that Glittering is not gold:
Many pen drives looks beautiful, many are thin and small in size. If you think that thin devices are good and smart, then it is wrong. In many cases this is not true. Also after using the thin pendrive for a few days, the USB port on the computer becomes a bit loose. And because its components are very light, they quickly disappear. And as a small device, it's easy to get lost.

The lifespan of Flash drive is limited:
A Flash drive has an average of about 3 to 5 thousand writing cycles, and then there may be problems with this device at any time. However, there are many pendrive that are waste after writing less than 3,000 times and some pendrive exceeds 0.1 million of writing cycles. Even if you write on a pen drive twice a day in a normal life span as an accountant, it will work for more than four years. A good life span does not depend on brand. However, if you buy a good pendrive at a higher cost, then the life span is more likely.

Buy a tough and secure Flash Drive:
There are many Pen Drive technologies available in the markets that are quite robust. It is not a problem if they are lightly pressed or fall into the water. There are also pendrive that offers protection against data theft. However, if you are very worried about your data, the data should be encrypted before exchanging.

Buy pen drive that match with computer ports:
Suppose you brought a pendrive from the market of USB 3.0. But your computer's ports are all of USB 2.0. In that case you will not get the transfer rate of USB 3.0, you will get the speed of USB 2.0. And the USB 3.0 technology is capable of transferring data up to 100 mbps whereas an USB 2.0 can only transfer 15 mbps.

Keep in mind the above tips before buying any Flash drive or Pen drive. Hope you will get the benefits.

Thanks,
